Dear Parents/Guardians,

How can we help your child succeed in school? By working together!

Research shows that children whose parents continue to be involved in their education
are more likely to:

• Earn higher grades and test scores
• Pass their classes and be promoted
• Attend school regularly
• Complete homework
• Graduate and go on to further education

One way that you can be involved is to participate in the community planning process for our district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is California’s formula for determining the level of state funding provided to districts to provide for their state-supported general and supplemental programs. The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is LCFF’s vehicle for transparency and engagement.

Our goal is to gather feedback on the design and implementation of the State and District’s priorities. Your participation is critical in this decision-making process, and we appreciate your assistance by completing the Central Union LCAP 2016 Survey. The survey is available in English at or in Spanish at and may be accessed on the District webpage. Digital devices can be utilized at the school site to complete this form or they may provide you with a paper copy if needed. Please submit your survey by March 15, 2016.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
